                                            The Odd Couplings Invitational Exhibition
was held at the Hudson Street Gallery of the Lowell Area Arts Council
from January 3 – February 3, 2007.

The Odd Couplings invitational exhibition featured the diverse work of artists living in the Lowell area
or associated with the Lowell Area Arts Council. The theme of this invitational exhibit, echoing the
title of Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple (Female Version)”, which was performed by Thebes Players at
The Lowell Performing Arts Center, was an artistic juxtaposition or “odd coupling” in the works of an individual artist.
Each participating artist exhibited two contrasting works, distinguished by differing themes, different styles
of presentation, dissimilar media, or varied materials used in composition. Each pair of works was accompanied
by the artist’s commentary explaining the nature of the contrasts, how they have been achieved, or what they signify.

'Can You Hear Me Now' and 'Tall Drink Of Water' were in this show.
