This site is dedicated to the restoration
and preservation of vintage Mercury Outboards dating from 1940 through 1959.
The decals shown and available here are of the highest quality. Sensitivity
towards craftsmanship and authentic representation is established through
the use of original materials. Artwork reproduced for decal production is
obtained from cowls with excellent existing decals, artwork from manufacture
(Mercury) or original off the shelf stock. This process insures a product
"as close as possible" to the manufactures intentions.
These decals are "Water Applied."
A technique used for identifying products since the late 19th century. The
Mercury decals are applied either "water slide-on" or "reverse
peel-off." Most of the decals, because of their size are "reverse
peel-off." This provides the best protection from tearing and the like.
Smaller decals are "water slide on."
The materials provided are approved and premission
has been granted by Mercury Marine and it's legal department.
