Experiencing the Process

A Workshop for $10 including the curriculum guide "A Year of Student CRC" by Kinshasha Nia-Azariah, Frances Kern-Crotty and Louise Gomer Bangel; teaching the skills of affirmation, cooperation, communication, valuing differences, and conflict management.

Arlington Midwest in Grand Rapids was Sept. 18-22 at Marywood Dominicans of Grand Rapids. Other sponsors were West Michigan Justice and Peace Coalition and Arlington Midwest.

The Institute for Global Education celebrated United Nations International Day of Peace on Sept. 21 with an Interfaith Peace Prayer Service. Click the right-pointing triangle to see the video.

IGE supports the non-violent resolution of conflicts and the pursuit of justice as the best way to achieve true, lasting peace through conscientious individual and group education and action.We call for accountability of officials in our own and other countries when their actions work against peace. We are a meeting place for community groups that share our concerns about human rights and education for multicultural and religious awareness.

“IGE Talks” is a public forum and TV show seen on public access, featuring our Dream Team, Laura and Dave — “nonchalantly provoking” and “polysyllabically meming” respectively. Open to the public. We start at 7 p.m. and try to wrap up by 8:30. Every first Thursday of the month at IGE, next to Wealthy Theatre.
