Skiing is my spare time passion. I skiied a little during my high school years, but about 1994, I got back into recreational slalom skiing. After a couple of years doing that, a friend,
Walt Gutowski, had me try barefooting. I decided that barefooting was fun. I have decided to devote a whole page to just this subject,
barefoot skiing. Often we ski regardless of the temperature, as pictured here from
April 3, 1998. In 1998, for example, I first skiied on January 1st and last skiied on November 2.
I also like to spend time with my family often doing
fun things. This frequently involves being in and around
Michigan lakes and water. My family and I like to
boat (we have a Malibu and a Flightcraft from The Edge), ride PWC's, swim and relax at the beach. My wife and oldest daughter like to slalom ski. I have one son who loves to wakeboard, and four of the kids are now barefooting. Three of them are still on the boom, but one is on the long-line.
My children are fearless when using a computer. My wife always tells me I could do the project quicker if I just did it, rather than figure out how to save time doing the job by computer. Often she is right, but I get satisifaction from figuring out how to do things on these confounded conTRAPtions.
