1997 Has Been Great!

My family skied, wakeboarded, kneeboarded and barefooted.

My 1997 season started in April when I first went skiing. My wife and eldest daughter also went skiing in April. Here is a recap of my skiing for this year:

  1. April 3 -- first ski
  2. May -- Ron Scarpa Ski School (first tumble turns, first three point, work on basic form, first three back-deep tries).
  3. June/July -- work on barefoot form, three point and tumbles behind the boat, ski, ski and more skiing.
  4. August 6 -- Mike Seipel Clinic (first back-deeps, one foots, wake crossings, work on tumbles).
  5. August -- work on one foots on boom, hit more back-deeps, really start hitting wake crossings! Even the little one's start messing around on the boom!
  6. September -- first one foots behind the boat
  7. October -- hit six back-deeps in a row and started lowering the boom to simulate the rope height behind the boat

Picture as described next:Don, Mike and Walt front-deep!
Don has his feet on the rope, while Mike gets ready to plant and Walt three points just before standing.Picture as described previous.

Picture as described next:Don takes a turn all by himself. The best thing about pictures is that you learn from them. What two things am I doing wrong? Email me your thoughts. I don't do them as much anymore now that I have pictures to remind me.

Thanks for stopping. And, thank you so much to my wonderful wife, our extra-special photographer. These pictures were taken in September 1997 skiing behind the 1997 Malibu Corvette Limited Edition Ski Boat.
