 My
vote for the fun movie of the summer isn't Star Wars or The
Wild Wild West. Nope, give me Inspector Gadget any
day.
Gadget is half man, half machine, and master of neither
half. The cartoon was funny enough, but the previews make
this Disney release look like the most rip-roaring fun film
of the summer.  The
inspector has springs in his shoes, extensions in his arms
and legs, and even a helicopter in his head. (No room for a
brain? That would explain a lot.) And his Gadget Mobile even
has a jet engine!
In the movie, Gadget come up against an evil robot
created by his nemesis, Dr. Claw. The worst part? The robot
looks just like Gadget and is ruining the detective's
reputation.  Coming
July 23. I can hardly wait. I'll probably see it more times
than Star Wars or any other summer 1999 release. (It's now
showing -- and great fun.)
