Configuring Outlook Express 4 (PC)Follow the instructions below to configure your email. If you need assistance, please call
Customer Service at 888.64.ISERV or email info@iserv.net.
- Double-click 'Outlook Express' (on your
desktop)
- From the 'Tools' menu, Select 'Accounts'
- Click on the 'Mail' tab at the top of
the screen (To be sure that you are looking at only email accounts)
- Click on 'Add', Then click 'Mail'
- In the 'Display Name' field, Enter your
formal name (for example: "John Smith")
- In the 'E-mail address:' field, Enter
your case-sensitive Iserv email address (format "username@iserv.net")
- In 'My incoming mail server is a'
choose "POP3"
- For both 'Incoming mail' and 'Outgoing
mail', Enter "mail.iserv.net"
- In the 'POP account name:' field, Enter
your username (all lower case, format "username", not "username@iserv.net")
- In the 'Password' field, Enter your
case-sensitive Iserv password
- In the 'Internet mail account name:'
field, Enter "mail.iserv.net"
- Select the first option if you want
Outlook Express to launch your connection to the Internet
- Select the second option if you connect
through a Local Area Network or router connection
- Select the third option if you will
establish your connection through another application (like Internet Explorer)
before checking your mail
- Click 'Finish' to save your new
configuration
- Click the 'Send/Receive' button to
check your email
