Configuring Outlook Express 4 (PC)

Follow the instructions below to configure your email.  If you need assistance, please call Customer Service at 888.64.ISERV or email info@iserv.net.
  • Double-click 'Outlook Express' (on your desktop)
  • From the 'Tools' menu, Select 'Accounts'
  • Click on the 'Mail' tab at the top of the screen (To be sure that you are looking at only email accounts)
  • Click on 'Add', Then click 'Mail'
  • In the 'Display Name' field, Enter your formal name  (for example: "John Smith")
  • Click 'Next'
  • In the 'E-mail address:' field, Enter your case-sensitive Iserv email address (format "username@iserv.net")
  • Click 'Next'
  • In 'My incoming mail server is a' choose "POP3"
  • For both 'Incoming mail' and 'Outgoing mail', Enter "mail.iserv.net"
  • Click 'Next'
  • Choose 'Log on using:'
  • In the 'POP account name:' field, Enter your username (all lower case, format "username", not "username@iserv.net")
  • In the 'Password' field, Enter your case-sensitive Iserv password
  • Click 'Next'
  • In the 'Internet mail account name:' field, Enter "mail.iserv.net"
  • Click 'Next'
  • 'Choose Connection Type'
    • Select the first option if you want Outlook Express to launch your connection to the Internet
    • Select the second option if you connect through a Local Area Network or router connection
    • Select the third option if you will establish your connection through another application (like Internet Explorer) before checking your mail
  • Click 'Next'
  • Click 'Finish' to save your new configuration
  • Click the 'Send/Receive' button to check your email
