Configuring Netscape Mail 4.0 (PC)Follow the instructions below to configure your email. If you need assistance, please call
Customer Service at 888.64.ISERV or email info@iserv.net.
- Double-click the 'Netscape Communicator'
icon (on your desktop)
- From the 'Edit' menu, Select 'Preferences'
- Select 'Mail & Newsgroups' (the
menu tree located on the left of the screen)
- In the 'Your name' field, Enter your
name (format "John Doe")
- In the 'E-mail address' field, Enter your
case-sensitive Iserv email address (format "username@iserv.net")
- In the 'Incoming Mail Server' field, Enter "mail.iserv.net"
- Remove any additional info in this
field
- In the 'Outgoing mail server' section:
- In the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server'
field, Enter "mail.iserv.net"
- In the 'Outgoing mail server user name'
field, Enter your Iserv username (format "username", not "username@iserv.net")
- In the 'Server Name' field, Enter "mail.iserv.net"
- In the 'Server Type' field, Select 'POP3'
- In the 'User Name' field, Enter the
username (all in lower case, format "username", not "username@iserv.net")
- If desired, check the 'Remember
Password' option
- Go to the 'POP' tab, Verify that 'Leave
messages on server' is not checked
- Click 'OK' on the 'Preferences' screen
to save your settings
- Click 'Get Messages' to
check your email
