Configuring a Dialup Connection - Windows 2000Follow the instructions below to manually set up your Iserv Internet connection. If you need assistance, please call Customer Service at 888.64.ISERV or email info@iserv.net. - From the 'Programs' menu, choose the 'Accessories' menu, then 'Connections'
- Click on 'Internet Connection Wizard'
- You should see 'Welcome to the Network Connection Wizard', Click 'Next'
- Select the second option, 'Dialup to the Internet', Click 'Next'
- Select the third option labeled 'I want to setup my Internet connection manually...', Click 'Next'
- Select 'I connect through a phone line and modem', Click 'Next'
- Enter the appropriate dialup number for your local dialing area. (To find an Iserv access number that is local to you, go to our Dialup Access Numbers)
- Uncheck the option labeled 'Dial using the area code and Country code', Click 'Next'
- Enter your Iserv username in all lowercase (format "username" not "username@iserv.net")
- Enter your case-sensitive password, Click 'Next'
- In the 'Connection Name' box enter "Iserv Internet", Click 'Next'
- Select 'Yes' and click 'Next'
- Now, enter your 'Display Name' (This is what people will see when they get email from you. You can enter any name that you wish.) Then click 'Next'
- Enter your complete Iserv email address (format "username@iserv.net"), Click 'Next'
- Enter "mail.iserv.net" as both the 'Incoming mail server' and the 'Outgoing mail server', Click 'Next'
- The 'Account Name' field will already be filled in
- Enter your case-sensitive password, Click 'Next'
- Click 'Finish' and you're done!
